QLED AUTO

The HARMAN/Samsung powerhouse has introduced the new HARMAN QLED Auto solution. It is the first of its kind to introduce automotive-grade, zero-cadmium Quantum-Dot Light-Emitting-Diode (QLED) technology. HARMAN/Samsung will also bring advanced flexible and transparent Organic Light-Emitting-Diode (OLED) displays to the automotive industry. Thanks to the synergies with Samsung, HARMAN can bring the premium visual experience from Samsung to the automotive consumer to create an immersive user experience from home to vehicle to mobile.

OLED displays use organic light-emitting material instead of a rigid backlit unit, enabling them to be positioned on any surface. HARMAN/Samsung will bring advanced, flexible and transparent OLED displays to the automotive industry.

  • Curved cover, flat display below  
  • Free-form display: rear projection (using DLP)  
  • Curved displays (LCD-TFT, OLED)  
  • Flexible displays: plastic substrates and electronics
